Welcome to the ACOMFR Call for Abstracts Online Submission Site
The Scientific Program Committee of the ACOMFR welcomes the submission of original abstracts in areas of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Radiology via this online system. Authors will access the system to submit abstracts for Scientific Paper/Poster Applications and Educational Exhibit Applications. By submitting this abstract, the authors grant permission to the Program Committee to publish the accepted abstract in the printed and/or online version of the Meeting Program.
Abstract submission deadline: September 1st, 2008
Notification accepted abstracts with presentation times: September 20th, 2008
The types of submission
1. Scientific Papers
Scientific presentations are completed hypothesis-driven research with a comprehensive report, a work-in-progress report of ongoing research of emerging ideas and techniques and containing initial yet defined results, or a brief pertinent report of a particular new aspect or understanding of clinical radiology. Scientific papers are oral presentations delivered at an assigned date/time and are limited to seven minutes followed by three minutes for discussion. A PC projection will be provided. All presenters are requested to prepare a MS PowerPoint presentation file and take it to the PC Center at the venue on a CD or USB memory/pendrive. The latest version of the software will be installed on the presentation PC.
2. Scientific Posters
Scientific posters, see scientific presentation description above, are
presented in traditional poster (backboard panel, 90cm in wide, 180cm in
height). Presenters must be available in person for an hour discussion
period, day and time to be announced.
3. Education Exhibits
Education exhibits should be designed to teach or review radiologic signs, pathologic correlations, procedures, techniques, treatments, and other aspects related to the practice of imaging. Some educational exhibits may refer to authors' personal research data in the exhibit to emphasize educational points. If the aim of the exhibit, however, is to present focused research data and conclusions, this work should be submitted as a scientific poster. Education exhibits may be presented in the same way to the Scientific Posters.
