Online registration is now closed.
A registration desk will be open on-site beginning Wednesday, 19 November
(17:00-18:00) through Saturday 22 November 2008 (8:30-13:00).
1. Registration Fee
Regular participants
EARLY REGISTRATION FEE:30,000JPY (tax included)
-Submit the online registration form by September 15, 2008 and complete
the remittance of the registration fee by October 15, 2008.
LATE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE:35,000JPY (tax included).
*Student/Post-graduate student presenters
EARLY REGISTRATION FEE:20,000JPY (tax included)
-Submit the online registration form by September 15, 2008 and complete
the remittance of the registration fee by October 15, 2008.
LATE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION FEE:25,000JPY (tax included)
(Note)
Students who want to obtain the above student rate must send by fax or
airmail proof of their status such as a photocopy of a valid student ID
card or a letter from the dean, department head or research director with
a signature.
Accompanying Persons:15,000 JPY (tax included)
On site registration fee shall be paid in Japanese yen. We will accept cash only.
Credit cards are not acceptable at the registration desk .
2. Important Dates
September 25, 2008 (10 days extended): Early Registration ends 5:00 pm Japan Standard Time.
October 15, 2008: All payments must be received.
October 31, 2008: Cancellation deadline; all cancellations MUST be in writing.
3. Confirmation Letters & Registration Cards
An automatic email confirmation will be sent to you if registering online.
Registration cards will be sent to registrants after confirming payment
of registration fees.
All attendants are requested to print out the registration cards and bring
them to the conference site to show at the registration desk.
4. Substitutions
Substitutions are not allowed.
5. Methods of Payment (Credit card is highly recommended for payment of registration fees.)
All prices are in Japanese Yen (JPY). Payments in other currencies will
not be accepted.
Fees can be paid either by credit card or bank transfer. Please note that
personal or company checks cannot be accepted.
Registration without payment will not be processed.
The Conference Secretariat will not be responsible for identifying funds
transferred directly into the account when the name of the participant
is not mentioned. Nor will the ACOMFR208 Registration Office accept charges
of bank fees associated with the transfer.

Payments are accepted with the following cards; JCB, Master Card and Visa.
Regretfully, other credit cards cannot be accepted.

of the registration fee.
Also, a copy of a bank transfer form must be sent to the acomfr2008 registration
office immediately after submitting the online registration form.
The copy confirms your remittance, just in case your payment is not confirmed
by the Registration office.

6. Cancellations, Changes and Refund Procedures
Cancellations of the conference is allowed. However, cancellation charges,
5,000 JPY will apply for each cancellation.
Please note that no refunds will be made to regular paper authors.
Cancellation must be in writing or faxed. Full registration fees will be
charged unless a cancellation notice is received in writing, or faxed on
or before October 31, 2008 to:

In case of cancellations on or before October 31, 2008, a 5,000 JPY handling
fee will apply to all cancelled registrations. Fees cannot be refunded
for registrations cancelled after October 31, 2008, the cancellation deadline.
No-shows will be billed. Changes in registration must be requested in writing
as well. All refunds will be made after the conference.
7. Applicants for visa documentation
For the applicants who require visa documentation, registration should
be done well in advance of the deadline.
Those wishing to apply for visas are required to complete registration
and remittance.
Information on the visa form will be available when you submit the on-line
registration form.
Upon receiving the above information and confirming the payment, the secretariat
will prepare documents necessary for a visa application.
Please note that no documents for visas will be prepared for those who
have not completed the payment of the required registration fees in full.
Due to the complex nature of visa requirements, please contact the Consular
Section of the Embassy or Consulate General of Japan nearest you.
